BIG BEAR LAKE CALIFORNIA
|
About Big Bear Lake? Big Bear lake is surrounded by the San Bernardino National Forest at an elevation of around 7000 feet high above sea level. Located north/east of Los Angeles, Big Bear's alpine environment is dominated by pine and oak forests in a valley surrounded by creeks, natural streams, and a gorgeous lake. The lake is surrounded by tall mountains and a large seven-mile long lake with twenty-two miles of shoreline. The forest provides a habitat for wildflowers and many animals like bald eagles, woodpeckers, raccoons, chipmunks, and squirrels. The area also offers guests year round activities during all four seasons from winter sports to summers activities. Travelers can feel miles away and only drive a few hours from almost any southern California city. Many visitors come to this nearby resort for its clean air and to seek refuge in a rustic Big Bear cabin. Participate in one of the many yearly events and outdoor activities the lake has to offer. If you enjoy hiking I recommend "Cougars Crest Trail" located on the north shore. Hiking maps are available at the Big Bear Discovery Center. I also suggest sailing on the Time Bandit, its Big Bear's only pirate ship or a sunset cruise on the Big Bear Queen. Why do we have a cabin Big Bear Lake? During a weekend trip searching for peace and relaxation from the busy city, we found a small town located in the San Bernardino Mountains called Big Bear Lake. Only a few hours drive from Los Angeles, we often returned for the clean air, sleepy pace, and year-round activities. I found and bought Cougar's Tree House in 2004, which already had its name due to the high settings in the pine trees. I decided to list my property with a vacation rental agency only to find that no one cares for your home more than yourself. Resulting from agency neglect, I wanted to give a more personal approach and provide friends and guests with the attention, quality, and care that I would expect when traveling myself. Sharing my home with others and letting friends experience all the natural wonders of Big Bear brings pleasure to my soul. Why should you rent our cabin? Our cabin is privately owned and operated. We provide our guests with a unique and well-cared cabin at competitive prices. We are located between Big Bear's only two ski resorts in a desirable neighborhood called Moonridge. This location is rated the best for its proximity to all of the town areas. It's only a short 3 minute drive to either ski area or 5 minute drive to the lake, grocery stores, and the popular Village downtown. Our home has panoramic mountain views with partial ski slope views of both Bear Mountain and Snow Summit, and you can easily walk a few blocks to a Bear Mountain shuttle stop. Our cabin comes completely furnished with luxury linens, towels, SPA line toiletries, paper products, microwave, satellite TV, free wireless internet, pots, pans, and we even have most cooking spices. We have a spacious open floor plan for comfortable living, two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Our rates are also very reasonable. Keep in mind you that you are renting a house and not a small cramped room in a hotel/motel. We cannot compete with the lower prices of hotel and motels, but they cannot offer you what a private home rental can offer such as atmosphere and privacy. You should come visit our cabin and experience the perfect vacation in beautiful Big Bear Lake, California! |
